Without a visible hint of schadenfreude, the Independent reports on an interesting and convincing  correlation between skyscraper building (currently booming in China & India) and impending economic collapse, citing various examples over the last 80 years (ref).

Meanwhile, London is currently seeing the completion of The Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe.
